This page describes how to delete an account in the PsyBird.AI app, and what happens to your data when you do.
Delete from inside the app. Open Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm. This works for both clients and clinicians, and takes effect immediately.
Or request deletion by email. Write to support@psybird.ai from the email address on your account and ask for your account to be deleted. We act on requests promptly and confirm when done.
What is deleted. Your login is revoked and your account credentials are removed, immediately. For a clinician, the practice’s data in PsyBird is deleted with the account, including its client records, claims and client billing records, so export what you need to keep first. Residual copies age out of our encrypted backups within 30 days.
What is kept, and why. For a client, deleting your account removes your login, and the record of your care in PsyBird, including your conversations with Psy, journal entries, goals, exercise responses, summaries, letters, and notes, stays with the practice that treated you as part of its clinical record, which your clinician is required to retain under healthcare record-keeping laws. Deleting your app account does not delete your practice’s clinical file, so direct requests about it to your clinician. We also retain minimal billing and audit records where the law requires it.
