PsyBird is a between-sessions companion for your practice. You build each patient’s treatment plan: exercises, meditations, and check-ins. Psy, our AI carrier pigeon, keeps them company through the week, guiding the work, listening, and writing you letters about anything that matters. Psy never replaces your judgment. It extends your reach.
1. Create your account. Pick a plan (solo practices choose Individual), verify your email, and add a payment card. Nothing is charged until your first real patient connects. Until then, everything is free, including unlimited practice with a demo patient.
2. Try the demo patient first. On your empty dashboard, choose Demo patient. It runs the same one-minute intake in a sandbox, nothing billed and no key needed, so you can see the whole loop before inviting anyone real: build a plan, then use View app as patient to experience exactly what they will.
3. Add a real patient. Choose + New patient and complete the one-minute intake: name, what brings them in, your approach and tone for Psy, and whether messaging and calls are enabled. PsyBird drafts a starter plan from the intake immediately. Edit it, replace it, or keep it.
4. Build your patients’ plans. Every plan is exercises (sixteen kinds, from journaling and thought records to exposure runs and future-self letters), meditations (with optional full scripts Psy reads aloud), and goals. Add items by hand, describe what you want and let Psy draft it, or one-click add the standard PHQ-9 and GAD-7 assessments, scored automatically and tracked over time.
5. Invite them. Each patient gets a personal key. Share it as text, a QR code, or an email link. They create their account, verify their email, enter the key, and land on the profile you already set up. Keys work once and expire after 90 days; you can mint a fresh one from their page anytime.
6. Your week with PsyBird. The dashboard surfaces what needs you: letters Psy drafted for your review (chats are direct; letters only go out with your approval), flagged chats, new check-ins, and direct messages. The patient file holds everything else: session notes, the weekly calendar, outcomes charts, and the scrapbook of everything they’ve done.
Good to know. Psy’s letters wait for you: chats are direct, but letters only go out with your approval. Your session notes are never visible to patients, and never included in what Psy says to them. Everything exports, per patient or whole practice. Questions? Email or use Report a problem in the app. It works even from the login screen.
